Flynn Family
Hi there,
My mother and I are researching our ancestery, and we have traced back to Mountshannon during the late 1700's and early 1800's. I was wondering if there are any Flynn's still living in the area? I'm hoping to plan a visit to Ireland within the next year or so, and would love to know if there are any descendants to connect with, or any pieces of our family history that can still be found in or around the town...
Thanks so much,
Kelly (Flynn) Bryan

Re: Flynn Family
I should add also their names!
Thomas Flynn - born in Mountshannon 1815, married to Mary Ann O'Callaghan (born 1809)
William Flynn b. 1786 - married to Eliza Burke b. 1793 (parents of Thomas above) ...I have no further details about their residence although I would assume the Mountshannon area also.

Re: Flynn Family
Hi Kelly
Sorry I cant really help out, I dont know any Flynns, but you might find this link interesting. It is the 1901 census.
The census for Mountshannon village:
http://www.clarelibrary.ie/eolas/coclare/genealogy/1901census/1901_clare_cen
Or you might also find this page usefull,
http://www.clarelibrary.ie/eolas/coclare/genealogy/1901census/1901_clare_census_deds.htm
Check through the results for Iniscealtra North and Iniscealtra South in the Scariff Union Section. Iniscealtra is the name of the Parish that Mountshannon lies in, and contains all the townlands that make up Mountshannon.
Here is a link for an on line phonebook for Ireland:
